This is a blog about genre-bending fiction. The emphasis is on melding fantasy, science fiction, horror, romance, erotica, etc.–either two or all of them. Like maybe Snow Falling on Cedars meets Silence of the Lambs. Wouldn’t that be a gas? Maybe I’ll write it someday. Anyway, getting back on topic, I describe my books as the place where science fiction and fantasy meet.
When people ask me how long I’ve been writing, I say “oh, since I was about four.” It’s true. That’s when I learned to write (my sister taught me). Now, if you asked when did I start writing fiction, I’d say from the time I got my first checking account. Well, no…not really. It started with the usual school assignments. Then, after graduating from high school, I pretty much stopped because I didn’t think anyone would be interested in my scribblings except me. And maybe my mother. Which pretty much turned out to be true. But I’ve always had stories floating around inside my head, sometimes historical, sometimes contemporary, sometimes futuristic, sometimes none of the above. So I started writing my stories down and discovered I was having a lot of fun doing it. I’ve never looked back.
My motto: Reality is highly overrated.
Welcome to my world.
