In Production

Finished the proofreader edits on the manuscript for The Underground Second Edition. Made a few changes here and there, but nothing major. The pre-production phase is over. Now we’re into production. I copyrighted the manuscript today, and am ready to have it formatted. Then we’ll finalize the cover–put in the ISBN, etc.–and it’ll be ready for publication.

Weird–I’m not anxious over this. The first Underground, I could feel the tension. True, it was my first book, but I was in such a hurry. I felt like I had to get it out like RIGHT NOW. The Moreva of Astoreth, not as much. The tension came from the shit job those Brit formatters and cover artists did. Lucky for me, I found Vyrdolak, who is just the best. So she’s doing The Underground Second Edition, too. Anyway, my target date is May 15, 2017, and it’s only March 12. So I’m cool. And while that’s going on, I can concentrate on other things–like finding out why my sales tax license from Maryland hasn’t come yet. And a couple of other things, too, the kind of life stuff one needs to pay attention to but doesn’t because one is so busy doing other life stuff. I don’t know about you, but I don’t multitask well, and things tend to slide. This is my time then, to straighten some of those things out.

Onward!
