When I started this blog–a long time ago–I proclaimed it would be about genre-bending fiction. You know, mashup. Fantasy, science fiction, horror, romance, erotica, etc.–wherever the story takes me. I used to call my books the place where science fiction and fantasy meet but they’re so much more. Like this blog. It’s gone from being about writing to being about life, the universe, and everything. Kind of like a diary.

When people ask me how long I’ve been writing, I say “oh, since I was about four.” It’s true. That’s when I learned to write (my sister taught me). Now, if you asked when did I start writing fiction, I’d say from the time I got my first checking account. Then I learned check-kiting was illegal, so I started writing non-fiction. Anyway, I started writing as a kid. A science fiction story I wrote won a city-wide contest when I was in elementary school. Still, I didn’t write much. I was more into music than writing. After graduating from high school, I pretty much stopped writing because I didn’t think anyone would be interested in my scribblings except me. And maybe my mother. Which pretty much turned out to be true. But I’ve always had stories floating around inside my head, sometimes historical, sometimes contemporary, sometimes futuristic, sometimes none of the above. While writing my first book, I discovered I was having a lot of fun doing it. I’ve never looked back.

My motto: Reality is highly overrated.

Welcome to my world.
